When our longtime friend and ally Dustin White asked us to name his new independent equipment lease finance company, Anchor Education’s challenge was simple and direct: find or create a name that represents the kinds of positive decisions that takes a client into new levels of success. Leasing the right equipment to meet the needs of a growing business is often the decision between mere survival to success.
AE provided Mr. White with several names, but we were more than delighted when he chose the one we were sure was the best: Rubicon Financial. The name Rubicon reaches back across the centuries to the days of ancient Rome, when a general, Julius Caesar made his fateful decision to establish one of the most successful empires in history. Reaching the banks of the River Rubicon, Caesar set himself and his followers on a commitment to achievement and greatness.
Rubicon represents not only the decision to build a finance company dedicated to the highest levels of service with the best competitive rates in the industry, but the decision of the company’s clients to lease the quality and quantity of equipment to get their jobs done. So, like long ago Caesar, Dustin White and his colleagues crossed over into a vibrant young company responsible in the year 2000 of originating transactions in excess of a billion dollars.
